Bust PTSD aims to help users manage symptoms of PTSD. Upon opening the app, users are asked to indicate the intensity and frequency of PTSD symptoms. Users are then prompted to listen to a 15 minute audio introduction to the Bust PTSD app. Main audio tracks range from 20 to 35 minutes in length, and provide guided grounding and sensation recognition exercises. The app also provides symptom tracking graphs to help users identify their own patterns, as well as to monitor the effectiveness of the audiotracks in reducing symptoms of PTSD. The audio tracks also contain several folk suggestions such as the importance of lavender smell to obtain beneficial effects. The cost of the app and the use of unsupported suggestions raises questions about the effectiveness of this app.
