Hapi: Talk, Vent, Be Happy is a peer chat app focused on creating a safe place for users to share their experiences and challenges. Users are able to anonymously connect via messaging or call a listener. Listeners are trained in active listening and creating a safe place for users to share. Users can choose from 6 topics to discuss with the listeners: “relationships”, “life”, “friends”, “family”, “self-care”, or “others”. Hapi also has a journaling feature to help record topics to discuss later. Hapi provides new users 15 mins for calls or 5 messages to use when contacting listeners. After using up their trial, users can “reload” by paying for a specific number of minutes/messages, or choose a “pay as you go” plan which charges users based on the number of minutes or messages used.
