Minds of the Culture is a free app created to help the black community learn more about mental health. The app’s goal is to bring awareness to mental health matters, normalize therapy, and educate the community with coping strategies. The app offers tools such as an in-app mood journal, descriptions of coping skills, a marketplace for merchandise supporting “Black Mental Health Matters”, a chatroom for people to connect on different topics, and a Black Therapist Directory. The user may access any of the resources without an account, but needs to set up an account in order to write journal entries and chat in the chatrooms.
