The Safe Place is a psychoeducational app that aims to provide education on different mental illnesses such as: post-partum depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and more. The app is specifically geared towards the Black community and providing education about mental health, and mental illnesses that they may be more vulnerable to than others. The app offers pages on topics such as mental health statistics, self assessment questions, self care tips, mental health resources, and inspirational quotes, videos, and podcasts. Another feature that the app offers is the option to join a discussion forum. This forum is offered through a link on the app that will take the user to the Facebook page in which the forum takes place.
